Mango Mastani is a type of mango milkshake said to come from Pune in Maharashtra. It is believed that the name of this drink is derived from Mastani, the warrior princess whose beauty had greatly influenced the Peshwa king Bajirao. Mango Mastani is usually also topped with nuts and dry fruits that enhance its flavour even further. It tends to be a thicker and creamier version of the shake, mainly because of the addition of ice cream. If you're looking for a different way to enjoy mangoes this season. How To Make Mango Mastani At Home | Quick And Easy Recipe For Desi Mango Milkshake

  • In a blender, add cut mango pieces/ mango pulp, sugar, ice cubes (optional) and milk. If you want the drink to be extra thick, add some ice cream at this stage itself.
  • Blend to form a smooth shake and freeze it for a few minutes. Later, blend it again. Doing so can also enhance the thickness.
  • Add a scoop of vanilla or mango ice cream on top.
  • Garnish with crushed/ shaved pistachios and almonds. Sprinkle cardamom powder to add flavour.
  • You can also add a few cut mango pieces to make the drink look more attractive. Serve chilled.
