Start by blending all the marinade ingredients together. Combine yoghurt, salt, green chillies, coriander, tandoori masala, garlic paste, turmeric, chilli powder, whole cumin, chopped onion, tomato paste, oil, and freshly squeezed lemon juice in a blender. Blend until you have a smooth and well-mixed marinade.

Pour the marinade over the chicken pieces, ensuring that each piece is well coated. Allow the chicken to marinate for a minimum of 2 to 4 hours. This time will allow the flavours to penetrate the meat, resulting in a more succulent and flavourful chicken. After marination, transfer the chicken along with the marinade into a glass baking dish. Cover the dish with foil, which will help to retain the moisture and flavours of the chicken while it bakes. 

Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius and bake the chicken. Remember to turn it in between for even cooking.
