A delicious baked chicken recipe with a yogurt based marinade.

Ingredients of Indian Style Baked Chicken

  • 1 Whole chicken (without skin, cut into 8 or 10 pieces)
  • For the marinade(blend these ingredients together):
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 2-3 Green chillis
  • 1 bunch Coriander, large
  • 2 tsp Tandoori masala
  • 1 tsp Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Whole cumin
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 2 Lemons (juiced)

How to Make Indian Style Baked Chicken

  • 1.Blend everything together for the marinade.
  • 2.Then pour the marinade over the chicken, let it marinate for about 2-4 hours.
  • 3.Pour everything into a glass baking dish, cover with foil.
  • 4.Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees C. Place your baking dish on the center rack and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  • 5.Remove dish, open the foil and turn the pieces over. Replace foil covering and put the dish back in the oven. Bake for another 30-35 minutes.
  • 6.Finally remove the dish from the oven and discard the foil.
  • 7.Baste the pieces of chicken with the sauce a little and put the tray back into the oven without the foil covering for about 10 mins just to give the pieces a good colour.
