Medu Vada Recipe:

Wash the poha in a bowl, then drain the water and set aside for a while. Meanwhile, chop all the ingredients. Once done, add a little curd to the poha bowl and begin mashing; continue mashing until a soft dough forms. Then add all of the remaining dry ingredients and thoroughly mix. Microwave Sambar Recipe:

In order to save time, soak the arhar ki dal for half an hour in 2 cups of warm water. Then, cook for 5 minutes, covered, with salt and onions. Stir again and cook until 70% done for another 10 minutes. Mash or blend the dal to a smooth consistency. Add the sugar and sambhar masala.
