  • Prepare the Dough:

Like any other bread, the first step is to prepare the dough for chur chur naan. Combine the flour, salt, baking soda and curd in a large bowl and knead the mixture well. Remember to use lukewarm water for kneading, as it helps in achieving the optimum consistency of the dough.
  • Allow the Dough to Rest:

It is also very important to give rest to the dough after kneading. The process of rest is important because it allows the baking soda to become active. The result is a puffy and flexible dough. During this, keep the dough covered with a wet cloth.
  • Shaping the Dough Balls:

After one hour, knead the dough for the last time, then flatten it by hand and give it the shape of a big roti. Spread ghee liberally on the surface and fold it lengthwise, making several layers. Make cuts at two-inch intervals using a knife and shape them into individual balls. Allow balls to rest for at least 10 minutes.
  • Preparation of Stuffing:

You can make stuffing as per your choice, you can choose potato or paneer for stuffing or you can mix boiled potatoes with paneer. Mix pomegranate seeds, onion, cumin powder, red chili powder and salt to make the fruit. While adding coriander leaves, make sure it is dry so that excess moisture does not affect the consistency of the stuffing.
  • Assembling the Naan:

Assembling the naan is an important step in preparing the naan - take the dough, flatten it with your hands and place the stuffing in the middle. Seal the naan by lifting the dough from all sides to make a circle. So, you can use a rolling pin to roll out the naan, or simply flatten it by hand. To bake naan on tawa, wet one side of it with water and cook till the naan becomes crisp, apply butter and serve.
