  • Use Warm Water

    Knead the dough with warm water. This will make the dough soft and stretchy which will result in soft rotis. Make sure to keep kneading the dough until smooth.
  • Rest The Dough

    Allow the dough to rest for at least 20 minutes after kneading. This will help the gluten to relax and make the dough easier to roll.
  • Roll Evenly

    Make small dough balls and with a rolling pin, flat it out into thin discs. Use light pressure and flatten out the balls into even spheres.
  • Cook On High Heat

    Preheat the tawa on high heat. This helps the rotis puff up quickly and ensure that they are soft. Keep flipping them to avoid burning.
  • How To Store Rotis

    Once cooked, place the rotis in a container lined with a cotton cloth or paper towel. This will trap the steam and keep the rotis soft.
