Hershey Co. named Michele Buck president and CEO to replace John Bilbrey, who is retiring from his executive role at the candy maker.

Cotton candy was the brain-child of John C. Wharton, a candy maker, and William J. Morrison, a dentist. It was invented in the year 1897 in Nashville, Tenesse.

This news certainly isn't sweet. The cost of ingredients in chocolate bars is rising, and the nation's biggest candy makers have already warned of price hikes next year. (A severe chocolate shortage on the horizon.) ...
