We all love homemade stuffed parathas but tandoori parathas of dhabas have a different charm. Every road trip of ours has to include a pit stop to dhaba, and that too for the special tandoori-style aloo parathas that are different from home-style parathas. The smokiness of the tandoor is what makes these parathas so attractive. But what if we tell you that you can make tandoori aloo paratha at home that looks and taste like the ones you get at dhabas? And you don't even need a tandoor for it! Of course, you would want to know how. We found a video with a secret tip to make tandoori paratha at home.

The secret is pressure cooker. Yes, you can make tandoori paratha in a pressure cooker with ease. Food vlogger Gaurav Wasan shared the recipe video on his Instagram page 'youtubeswadofficial'

How To Make Tandoori Aloo Paratha Without Tandoor I Dhaba-Style Tandoori Paratha Recipe In Pressure Cooker

The video shows the following steps:

Step 1: Make stuffing for the paratha by mashing boiled potatoes and seasoning with the masalas of your choice. This recipe adds table salt, red chilli powder, crushed coriander seeds, black salt, garam masala, kasuri methi, roasted jeera powder and chaat masala. Also, add fresh coriander leaves. 
Step 2: Make small thick roti and stuff them with the filling in the centre. Close the ends and pat and rotate with hands to stretch it to make a bigger roti.
Step 3: Place an open pressure cooker with its side on the stove.
Step 4: Dab some water on both sides of the paratha and place it on the inside wall of the pressure cooker.
Step 5: Apply some ghee to the paratha and turn the cooker upside down to let the paratha cook in direct heat of the flame.
Step 6: Once the paratha is cooked from both sides, apply some ghee or butter over it, crush it lightly and serve.
