Sundays are meant for relaxing and taking out some time to treat your tastebuds to some mouth-watering food items. Seems like Preity Zinta agrees with us on this one. That's exactly why she decided to spend a day out with her husband Gene Goodenough. The couple, who shared the news of becoming parents to twins – a girl and a boy – last year – via surrogacy, managed to take some time out from baby duties and enjoy the weekend to the fullest. Preity shared a video on Instagram that featured glimpses of their day out and images of the food items the two relished.

Going by the video, we saw an exotic dish that resembled eggs benedict, which was topped with some greens and poached eggs. The delicacy was served with rosemary roasted potatoes on the side. Apart from this, the video also featured a sumptuous grilled sandwich filled with flavourful stuffing. That's not all. The couple also chomped on a truly appetizing dessert – pancakes loaded with chocolate syrup and sliced bananas. Preity has expressed her feelings through one adorable caption. She mentioned, "Sunday splurge. It's nice to take some time out from baby duties & go out. It's also nice to let go and eat as if there is no tomorrow." She also added the hashtags "Pati parmeshwar," "Cheat day," "Yummy," "Sunday Funday," and "Ting."

Preity Zinta carries a soft corner for food. Even though she devotes most of her time chomping on healthy food, there are days dedicated to indulgences. On the occasion of World Chocolate Day, she updated her fans about her chocolaty escape. With a snap of various desserts, she stated, “There is no problem a little chocolate can't fix.” The pictures showcased a slice of glossy chocolate cake topped with a cherry. Alongside, there was another crispy baked pastry loaded with berries and decorated with chocolate sauce. The tasty delights were served with scoops of ice cream.
Preity Zinta, like a true foodie, shared her love for the quintessential street food vada pav. To express her excitement, she wrote, “When in Mumbai, celebrate the Mumbai way. Happy 9 million to all of us.” For the unversed, vada pav consists of a vada [patty] (made with spicy potato filling dipped in a gram flour batter and fried till crispy), and a bun (pav). The vada is sandwiched between a bun and is savoured with chutneys and green chillies.
