Airplane food has gained a notorious reputation over the years. People often complain about how it is tasteless or bland and seems quite artificial or unnatural at times. It is mostly just a basic, quickly put-together meal to help us survive long journeys. Recently, however, a meal served on a flight has left the internet shocked. Believe it or not, a snake head was found in an airplane meal and the video was shared online. A crew member on board the SunExpress flight from Ankara to Dusseldorf was horrified and disgusted to find a severed snake head in the meal served during the flight. Take a look at the video here:

The flight where this incident happened was scheduled for July 21, Thursday by SunExpress airlines - a collaboration between Lufthansa and Turkish airlines. According to the blog 'One Mile At A Time', the cabin crew member started eating the airplane meal and made a shocking discovery. The snakehead was found in the salad along with other greens, and hence could not be distinguished at first. Previously, the airline has come into the news - with other insects such as beetles and snails frequently being found in their meals.
The photos of the half-eaten salad with the snake head left the internet completely disgusted. SunExpress Airlines released a statement saying they always wanted a safe and comfortable experience for their travellers. "The allegations and shares in the press regarding in-flight food service are absolutely unacceptable and a detailed investigation has been initiated on the subject. Until the research process in question is concluded, all preventive measures and actions, including stopping the supply of the relevant product, have been taken immediately," they said.
This is not the only unwanted element that has been found in food in the recent past. Recently, a video surfaced online claiming that a lizard was found in a salad at a popular restaurant in Delhi called Diggin. Internet users were left gobsmacked after the incident.
