The internet is no stranger to optical illusions. Nearly every day, we come across viral posts that are based on some kind of trick or illusion. When we finally figure out the solution (or Google it), we are sometimes left amazed at their simplicity. It is always interesting to try and figure out how they work, isn't it? Recently, an Instagram reel uploaded by a food vlogger went viral, because it claims to show "illusion biryani." When viewing it for the first time, many users were stunned by the seemingly magical way of presenting biryani. On viewing it the second time though, some internet users managed to grasp what really happened. Watch the video for yourself and see:

The video shows a man adding two tablespoons of plain rice, common biryani spices, fried onions and a boiled egg in an opaque jar. He then shakes the jar for a few seconds. When he opens it and transfers its contents onto a plate, we see biryani-like rice coming out of it! The rice grains are no longer plain, but yellowish in colour due to masala. But how is that possible? In the comments, netizens shared their theories. "He just flipped the jar while shaking, where on the other side cooked biryani was already there," wrote one user. Another commented, "There is a cut in a video, that is exactly the place where the real illusion happens."

The reel has received 1.5M views so far. Some users were angered by the presentation of the dish and claimed that it cannot be called biryani. Read some of the reactions below:
