Kali Puja Celebration

Kali Puja 2023: This year Kali Puja coincides with Diwali celebration. On this day, devotees observe fast and offer puja and bhog to Goddess Kali.

Also known as Shyama Puja, Kali Puja is celebrated on the new moon day or Amavasya of the Hindu month Kartik.

The night of Kali Pujo transforms Bengal. Homes, temples, and pandals glow with diyas, candles, and strings of lights - a scene reminiscent of Diwali, yet deeply spiritual in tone.
