What Makes Sattu Ragi Laddoo a Must-Have in Our Diets?

Sattu Ragi Laddoo is a must-have since it is a nutrient-rich snack. Its main ingredient, sattu, is a protein-rich flour prepared by roasting and milling Bengal gram or chana dal. Sattu is packed with insoluble fibres, which are extremely beneficial for your gut and can keep digestive problems like acidity and constipation at bay. Moreover, sattu is known for its cooling properties, so it can help beat the heat naturally. Ragi, on the other hand, is one of the best non-dairy sources of calcium compared to any other grains. It is also rich in iron and helps relax the body. Plus, the taste of these laddoos is top-notch, so even the pickiest of eaters will lick the plate clean! Serve these nutrient-rich laddoos with tea or eat them as a post-meal (guilt-free) dessert!

How Long Can You Store Sattu Ragi Laddoos at Home?

Sattu Ragi Laddoos taste best when served fresh. However, if you want to prepare these ahead of time, you can store these sattu ragi laddoos in an airtight container at room temperature. You can store these for up to 10 days. Before eating, heat these laddoos in a microwave for 10 seconds to enhance their flavour!

Making sattu ragi laddoo is very simple. This recipe was shared by digital creator Nitya Hegde @finefettlecookery on her Instagram handle. To make this, start by adding a dollop of ghee to the pan. Once it's hot, add sattu flour and ragi flour. Mix well and cook it on medium heat until it's aromatic. Meanwhile, take 10-15 cashews and 2 tablespoons of sunflower seeds in a blending jar. Grind the mixture until it becomes powdery. Once done, add this powder to the cooked flour mixture. Let it cool down slightly. Now add this mixture into a blender jar, and add cardamom powder and jaggery for taste. Blend it. While it is still warm, make small laddoos from this mixture. Let it cool down for a while or serve immediately!

Bonus Tip: If you are making these laddoos for kids, use more ghee to make them softer and easier to chew. Decorate with their favourite dry nuts and serve!
