Types
Free Range Chicken: This is a term used for the way chickens are raised. In this method, chicken is left to roam freely for food. To ensure that your chicken is free range look at the pastured indication on the pack(may not be easy to find in India).
Organic Chicken: This term is used for chickend that are fed only certified organic feed that cannot contain animal by products, genetically engineered seeds and are free from drugs.Even this kind of chicken is give outdoor access.
Conventionally Raised Chicken - This term is used for chickens that are raised indoors in sheds and are grain fed.This type of chicken is often avoided as they are exposed to pesticides and drugs. Also it is believed that they have higher chances of carrying diseases.
Grass Fed Chicken: Grass fed chickens are those birds which are fed a pasture diet than a grain based diet. They contain a lesser percentage of saturated fat and have a higher vitamin A content. They also contain the good fatty acids in a higher percentage.

1.Chicken is very rich in proteins and so helps build muscles and maintain a healthy body weight.
2.It is rich in tryptophan, known to relieve stress.
3.High protein content also helps to strengthen the bones and eating chicken is specially very helpful when you are aging.
