Provolone Cheese
Provolone cheese is an Italian cheese which was originated in Southern Italy. It has a smoky flavor and is used in making cannelloni and ravioli. It can be made with cow or buffalo's milk. It is golden-yellow in color.
One of its type is Provolone Dolce which is pale yellow to white in colour and is aged for 2-3 months.

One of its type is Provolone Dolce which is pale yellow to white in colour and is aged for 2-3 months. Another kind of provolone cheese is Provolone Piccante which has a sharper taste and is aged for more than 4 months.
Mostly the flavour of provolone cheese varies depending on how and where its produced. But usually it has a semi hard texture.

Provolone cheese is usually served with red wines, homemade breads and can even be served with hot chutneys. It can be kept for 6-8 months if wrapped properly in a plastic and kept in a refrigerator.
