Red Wine Vinegar is made from red wine and commonly used in the Mediterranean countries. Red wine is left to ferment till it becomes sour. The longer the vinger is aged, there better it tastes. There are several different qualities of red wine vinegar.

Usage

It is generally used in food preparation, in pickling processes, vinaigrettes, and other dressings. It may be used in sauces such as mustard, ketchup, and mayonnaise. It is often used as a condiment. Marinades often contain vinegar. The longer it is left to mature, the better it gets. Once opened, it lasts for about six months.

1. Red wine vinegar contains no fat, but it does contain a trace of vitamin C.

2. It also contains zero carbs and just less than three calories, making it a good addition to any diet.

3. It imparts a richer and sweeter taste than apple cider vinegar.
