Summer season has begun, and the temperatures are higher than ever. The heat is constantly touching 40 degrees Celsius in various states of the country. During this time, all we want to do is stay indoors, have cold beverages, and relax under the air conditioner. But, in this summer season, just staying indoors is not enough. We also need to keep a check on our diet and have fruits and vegetables that have plenty of water content - and one such vegetable is lauki. Recently, Maine Pyar Kiya actress, Bhagyashree took to Instagram and explained the importance and health benefits of lauki (bottle gourd) in summers.

Every Tuesday, Bhagyashree posts tips on her Instagram and gives her fans and followers an insight on healthy living, exercising, yoga and even shares her personal diet tips with them. This time, the actress can be seen explaining the health benefits of Lauki for summers. In her post, she begins by saying, "During summers we should always have foods that helps keep our stomachs cool. One such food that can be added to our diet is Lauki, which is high in water content." She further adds, "This vegetable has 80% of water, is easy to digest and since it has alkaline, it keeps away the acidity as well."

She even goes on to show some of the lauki that she and her husband have grown in their home. Lastly, in the video, she says, "Lauki is also good for improving heart condition, reducing cholesterol and regulation blood sugar." Take a look at her video here:
This isn't the first time that Bhagyashree has emphasized the importance of water vegetables. Earlier than this, the actress shared some weight loss tips and told how water vegetables help manage weight. She briefly explained that water is essential for the proper functioning of our bodies.
