If you're looking for a ray of sunshine amid the cold, bleak winter, this will surely bring a smile to your face. The Sayaji Baug Zoo in Vadodara, Gujarat delighted the internet by sharing a wonderful news. The administration recently celebrated the second birthday of resident baby hippopotamus. The occasion was marked by cutting a birthday cake and special laddoos, which were distributed to the two-year-old baby 'Mangal' and its mother 'Dimpy'.

Coincidentally, it was also the zoo's 142nd foundation day. P. Swarup, the Municipal Commissioner of Vadodara, congratulated the zoo on the dual celebration. He said the Sayaji Baug zoo is an important landmark of the city. He also spoke about how the role of an animal keeper is a key factor in the zoo's life. It is a specialised job and requires a connection with the animals, he told ANI.
