No, we are not making this up but a cart in Ghaziabad actually sells chole kulche that have fruits in it.
A food blogger recently shared a video of the unheard combination and we want you to see it. In the clip, uploaded on the YouTube channel 'YourBrownFoodie', the vendor first shows what all he offers at his small cart which includes cucumber, tomatoes, and onions salad along with raita. He then proceeds to prepare his special fruit chole kulche. The vendor begins by peeling and then cutting a couple of bananas and mixing the pieces with already prepared chole in a cauldron. Wait, banana is not the only fruit here.
After the bananas, the man cuts some apples and adds them to the chole before mixing everything well. Some spices also go into the chole including red chilli powder and chaat masala along with tamarind to make the chole tangy and spicy.
The chole are then served in small plates and topped up with some green chutney and salad while the kulche are cooked until golden brown. The vendor tells the blogger that the fruit chaat chole kulche has been pleasing foodies for thirty years.
