Ingredients of Gongura Chicken Biryani

  • For Gongura Chicken
  • 500 gram Boneless Chicken
  • 60 gram Refined oil
  • 150 gram Chopped Onion
  • 40 gram Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 50 gram Tomato Paste
  • 100 gram Gongura Leaf paste
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri Mirch Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Amchur Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  • to taste Salt
  • For Biryani rice:
  • 750 gram Basmati Rice (Cooked Upto 80%)
  • 60 gram Desi ghee
  • 150 gram Saffron Water
  • 40 gram Rose Water
  • 50 gram Kewra Essense
  • 100 gram Slit Green Chillies
  • 1 tsp Mint Leaves
  • 2 tsp Coriander Leaves
  • 1 tbsp Fried Onions
  • to taste Salt

How to Make Gongura Chicken Biryani

Heat oil and saute chopped onion until golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till oil leaves the sides of the pan.

Add tomato paste and gongura leaves paste and continue to saute in slow heat.

Add the boneless chicken and a little water. Cover with a lid and allow it to cook for 10 mins.

Remove the lid and add the powdered spices. Stir well and adjust salt. Keep aside.

Biryani Rice

1.
Take 80% cooked basmati rice in a food pan.

Drizzle melted desi ghee, rose water, saffron water and kewra essence. Sprinkle the chopped coriander leaves, mint leaves and slit green chillies.
3.
Finally add the sliced fried onion on top. Cover and cook in dum for 20 mins.

For Serving

1.
Now serve this in a bowl. Add the pre cooked gongura chicken on top or side of the rice.

Mix and enjoy!
