Ingredients of Masala Bread Toast

  • 4 slices of bread (white or brown)
  • 1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium-sized tomato, finely chopped
  • 1/2 medium-sized capsicum,
  • 1 small carrot, grated
  • 2-3 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup coriander leaves , chopped
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Butter or ghee for toasting

How to Make Masala Bread Toast

In a mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped onions, tomatoes, capsicum, grated carrot, green chillies, and chopped coriander leaves.

Add cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, and a pinch of salt to the bowl. Mix everything thoroughly to make the masala.

Take a slice of bread and spread butter or ghee evenly on one side.

Place the masala mix on the buttered side of the bread slice, ensuring it covers the entire surface.

Heat a flat pan or tava over medium heat. Place the prepared bread slice on the pan, masala side facing up.

Allow it to toast until the bottom side turns golden brown and crisp. Press it gently with a spatula for even toasting.
7.
Carefully flip the bread slice to toast the other side until it reaches the same delightful crispiness.
8.
Repeat for the rest of the slices.
9.
Transfer the Masala Bread Toast to a serving plate. Garnish with a sprinkle of chopped coriander leaves.
10.
Serve the toast hot with ketchup, green chutney, or curd.
