Bandel Cheese originally was a fresh cheese made of cow's milk curdled with lemon juice, and was then preserved in saltwater.

The origin of cheese might not have been in India but we do have our share of indigenous Indian cheeses that may sound far less glamorous than their Western counterpart, but it is equally delicious.
