The ingredients include oats, whole almonds, watermelon seeds, muskmelon seeds, and flaxseeds. Fibre does not get digested quickly and enables slow release of sugar in the bloodstream, which further prevents surge in blood glucose levels. The recipe also uses honey; too much honey may not be the best idea for diabetics. However, this recipe uses it in moderation, so there's not much to worry.
