What is the one thing you love about road trips in India? The different demography? The weather or the different people we meet along the way? Everyone's perception of traveling by road might be different but one thing we all love is the amazing food that we get to savour at the local dhabas dotted along the highways serving utterly delicious food throughout the day and night.
If you are a Delhiite, you must have been to or heard about the popular Amrik Sukhdev on GT Karnal road. It is one of the most famous dhabas serving everything from mouth-watering parathas to crispy dosas. And that's just one of such places. As you move along different cities, the authentic flavor of that region fast catches up and you can simply hop off on one of such dhabas on the highway to relish the local cuisine. And that's exactly what the ace film-maker Imtiaz Ali did.

The director, whose last venture was 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' starring Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma, was traveling through Jharkhand on the Tata Ranchi Highway, NH-33 when he visited a local dhaba for a quick meal. The authenticity of the place, hotel Panchwati, wowed the film-maker and he feasted on its simple vegetarian food. He relished what looked like a delicious serving of chhole along with salad, tawa roti and a type of curd that is hard to find. Imtiaz shared his joy of exploring such 'innocent' place with his followers and posted about it on his Instagram. He said "Can you believe this Dahi! Guys, as long as these innocent dhabas don't get swept by market forces, feast on food like God meant it to be; see how birds flock to this place!" (Sic)
He received many comments from his friends and fans and even popular chef Ranveer Brar couldn't hold himself back and said 'looks fantastic'.
The flavourful chhole indeed looks like a yummy treat and it would be simply unfair to miss out on such delicious north Indian food at hotel Panchwati located on NH-33 in Bundu, Jharkhand.
