Coming back to her post on lassi, if that's making you craving already, here are some ideas to make the drink for yourself at home.
1) Mango Lassi
You may have tried the traditional white lassi, but let's give it a makeover with this delicious drink that has the goodness of mangoes. For that flavour burst, use the ripest of mangoes and blitz them in a blender with the yogurt. As mangoes may vary in terms of sweetness or pulpiness, add curd or sugar accordingly. Sprinkle a few threads of saffron on top before serving.
2) Mint Lassi
While you impatiently wait for the appearance of mangoes in the local fruit market in summer, you can make do with a glass of mint lassi. This smooth and creamy drink will brighten up the gloomiest of days. Just for that added zing, try having it with some salt around the rim of the glass.
If you want to down something sweet with the goodness of bananas, then opt for this variant of the lassi. It's a very popular version of the drink. Add some walnuts to it. You can also jazz it up with some rose water. This creamy and sweet drink can also masquerade as a dessert that you can have while waiting for your food to arrive.
We're sure these lassi recipes will tick all the boxes when it comes to having something extra-refreshing! Do tell us which variant you tried for yourself.
