There is hardly any foodie who doesn't like eating momos. Whether it's sitting with classmates in the college canteen, going for a long drive, or casually hanging out with friends in the evening, momos always find their way into our foodie scenes. In the current era of food experimentation, we have seen various versions of this delight. From pineapple momos to momo pizza and even the crazy viral fire momos, there have been many fusions. Now, a video making the rounds shows a desi variant of this fast food option from the streets of Uttar Pradesh.
The clip features a healthy alternative with the outer layer made of wheat and the filling made from chana dal. It begins with adding pre-soaked chana dal into a mixer jar. Then, some green chillies, cumin, coriander, other spices, and water are added to the jar. Everything is blended well to form a mixture. Next, wheat dough is taken, and small balls are formed. After flattening the balls, the mixture is filled inside and sealed by giving them a dumpling shape. The dumplings are cooked in tadka and served with chutney. Take a look at the full video below:
