The video was shared on Instagram by the page @martyandmichael, a comedian duo from Australia who has amassed a following of 1.1 million. The absurd clip received 220k views and nearly 10k likes since the time it was shared.
In the bizarre stunt, we could see Michael buried in the sand on a beach, with a mountain of chips surrounding his head. A bunch of seagulls were circling around him to grab a bite from the chips. "The filming of our latest science experiment has made the news... I guess they must see the important work we're doing," read the caption.
According to a report by 9 News, the comedian duo had purchased chips worth $1,000 to carry out the outrageous activity. They apparently wanted to win the bird's trust with the savoury snack. However, the birds only ate a few chips and then went away. Meanwhile, the so-called 'science experiment' received plenty of attention online.
