Crispy tart shell filled with a banana and sago filling and topped with a delicious cashew nut crumble - this banana sago tart is super easy to make and is an ideal dessert for the Navratri season.

Ingredients of Banana Sago Tart
- For banana sago tart:
- 3 Ripe bananas
- 50 gm Chopped coconut
- 100 gm Jaggery
- 2 tbsp Sago
- 2 Crushed cardamom pods
- 2 cups Coconut milk
- Ghee
- Nuts of choice and raisins
- For cashew crumble:
- 100 gm Flour
- 45 gm Butter
- 50 gm Sugar
- 30 gm Crushed cashew nuts
How to Make Banana Sago Tart

Soak the sago for an hour. In a pan, add 2 tsp ghee and toast the coconut and nuts in it till light golden.

Take them out of the pan and add 1 tsp more ghee to the pan. Add diced bananas and cook till light golden.

Then cool and blend them with a few spoons of coconut milk. Return this paste to the pan with ghee, cook it for about 5 mins then add the rest of the coconut milk and soaked sago and crushed cardamom.

Cook till sago is transparent, should take a few minutes. Add the toasted nuts. Chill this mixture.

Serve this in a pre-baked tart shell and cover with a cashew crumble.
For cashew crumble:

Rub everything together so it looks like sand, bake in the oven at 170 C till golden, and store in a cool dry space.
