Ingredients of Dim'er Kalia

  • 1/4 Cup Mustard Oil
  • 4 Boiled eggs
  • 1/2 cup Curd
  • 1 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 large Onion finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 tsp Coriander Seeds
  • 2-3 Dried red chillies
  • 1 tsp Fennel seeds
  • 1 Cinnamom stick
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • Salt according taste

How to Make Dim'er Kalia

Boil eggs and make light vertical slits on them. Marinate with turmeric, red chilli powder and some salt. Let this sit for 10 mins.
Lightly fry the eggs leaving them golden brown on all sides. Keep them aside.
In a pan, dry roast dried red chilli, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, fennel seeds and make coarse powder out of that.
In the same pan used to fry the eggs, add cinnamon stick and bay leaf. Add ginger-garlic paste and finely chopped onions. Now add the coarse masala powder and let this cook until the masala leaves oil.
Add a little water and some curd, mix and prepare gravy consistency according to your liking.
Add fried eggs and let them mix well.
Take off the heat and garnish with some coriander leaves. Serve hot.
