Ingredients of Karwari Prawns
- For the Chutney:
- 2 Tbsp oil
- 2-5 button red chilli
- 7-8 curry leaves
- 1 Tbsp of chilli powder
- 1/2 Tbsp of turmeric
- 1 bowl coconut paste
- For the Prawns:
- 12 prawns
- 3 Tbsp of lemon juice
- 1/2 tbsp of red chilli powder
- Salt, to taste
- 1/3rd Tbsp of turmeric powder
- 3 Tbsp tamarind water
- 7 Tbsp of suji (semolina)
How to Make Karwari Prawns
HideShow MediaFor the Prawns:

In a bowl, add lemon juice, chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder, tamarind water and mix well. Add prawns to the mixture and let marinate for 30 minutes.

Now dab the marinated prawns in suji and press them well with your palm. Keep the prawns aside for 10 minutes to let the suji stick well and make it crisp.

Then fry the prawns in hot oil for 2-2 and a half minutes on both sides. Remove when done and serve hot with chutney.
For the chutney:

Heat the pan and add oil, button red chilli, curry leaves, chilli powder, turmeric powder and mix coconut paste.
