Ingredients of Kathal Biryani
- 300 gms kathal cuts
- 60 gms curd
- 30 gms ginger-garlic paste
- 200 gms basmati rice (cooked in boiling water for 4 Minutes), soaked
- 15 gms homemade garam masala
- Salt as per preference
- 5 gram red chilli powder
- 600 ml water
- 30 ml ghee
- 10 gram brown onion
- A pinch of saffron
- 10 gms coriander leaves
- 5 gram mint
- atta dough
- For homemade masala:
- 5 gram star anise
- 5 gram javitri
- 5 gram balck cardamom
- 5 gram green cardamom
- 5 gram cumin seeds
- 5 gram whole coriander
- 5 gram clove
- 5 gram whole red chilli
- 5 gram cinnamon
How to Make Kathal Biryani

First you need to take a bowl and put Kathal in it, ginger garlic paste, salt as per taste, red chilli powder and curd then mix it and keep it in fridge for at least 3 hours .

Now you have to take a bowl and put ghee and then add marinated Kathal in it. Start to cook with slow flame (for cooking you have to take pot,handi or cooker as well according to your convenience).

Cook Kathal on slow flame and add garam masala.

Now add 200 gm soaked rice in pot and add 600 ml of hot water.

Now for Dum you need to seal it with atta dough and keep it in domestic gas for next 20 minutes with low flame,

During the process of Dum you can meanwile prepare home style raita or chatni and then enjoy fresh Dum cooked biryani at you home.
