One can find many different versions of Maleeda, depending on the household but here is a classic, traditional recipe you can try at home. With the goodness of ghee, jaggery, wheat and nuts and free from any refined products, Maleeda is loved by all.
Ingredients of Maleeda
150 gms rawa
120 gms jaggery
75 gms ghee
30 gms raisins
20 gms almonds
20 gms pistachios
100 ml milk
10 gms edible gum/gond
How to Make Maleeda
1.In a bowl, take rawa, add warm water around 50 ml and knead it. Make finger long muthias and fry them in little ghee/oil till it turns golden brown.
2.Let it cool till room temperature. Crumble with hands coarsely.
3.In a pan, add ghee, jaggery and heat till jaggery melts. Then add coarse rawa mixture, milk and stir slowly till thickens.
4.Turn off the flame, sprinkle nuts and fried gond on top. Serve
