How To Make Marwari Snack

Ingredients of Marwari Snack
- 1 Cup Besan (Gram flour)
- ¼ cup Besan Bran (Husk)
- ¼ cup Maize flour
- ¼ cup Semolina (Sooji)
- 1 medium Finely chopped onion
- 1-2 Green chillies, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp Fresh coriander leaves
- ½ tsp Cumin seeds
- A pinch of Asafoetida (Hing)
- ½ tsp (I use Sidhi Marwadi Desi Red Chilli Powder) Red chilli powder
- ½ tsp Dry mango powder (Amchur)
- According to your taste Salt
- for making the batter Water
- just a few drops for greasing the surface (I use Sidhi Marwadi Cold pressed Oil) Oil
How to Make Marwari Snack
HideShow MediaPrepare the batter:

Mix besan, bran, maize flour, and sooji in a bowl. Add all the spices, chopped onions, green chillies, and coriander. Gradually add water to make a thick, smooth batter.
Desi No-Oil Cooking Technique:

Heat a kadhai (deep pan). Lightly grease the inside of the lid with oil, then invert it and place it into the hot kadhai. (This is a traditional Rajasthani "tava-baking" technique.)
Cook the snack:

Pour the batter onto the hot surface in a round portion , cover with the kadhai, and cook on low flame. Once It is golden on one side, flip and cook the other side until crisp and done.
Serve hot:

Serve this golden and crispy Besan Chilla , paired with green chutney or a steaming cup of masala chai.
