How to make Sushi Tacos

Sticky rice, pickled vegetables, tempura asparagus or prawns and cucumber and cream cheese pressed together in fried nori sheets. These sushi tacos are super delicious and make for a quick snack.

Ingredients of Sushi Tacos

  • 12 Nori sheets (cut into circles)
  • 1 cup Tempura flour
  • 1/2 can Soda
  • 1/2 cup Sticky rice, cooked
  • 1/2 tsp Togarashi powder
  • A pinch of Salt
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 1/2 cup Cream cheese
  • Pickled vegetables (cucumber + carrots + radish + vinegar + salt + sugar)
  • 12 Asparagus or shrimps
  • 6 tsp Teriyaki sauce
  • Sesame seeds for topping
  • To serve:
  • Soya sauce
  • Wasabi
  • Gari

How to Make Sushi Tacos

Make tempura batter and lightly dip the nori sheets in them and fry. Fold and keep aside.

Make the pickled vegetables and keep aside. Dice the cucumber and mix in with cream cheese and keep aside.

Mix the sticky rice with togarashi powder and salt. Tempura fry asparagus or shrimps till crisp.

To assemble: In nori sheet, press in the sticky rice on to the sides, add cucumber and cream cheese and then pickled vegetables. Put the tempura asparagus or prawn on top. Drizzle with teriyaki sauce and finally sprinkle with sesame seeds.
