About Tom Yum Soup : Tom yum soup is the most well-known recipe in the category of Thai Soups. Generally, it includes shrimps but a vegetarian version is also very delightful. It is very quick and easy to make and also enriched with aromatic flavours that make it a healthy yet delicious salad.
Ingredients of Tom Yum Soup
300 gms Chicken/Prawns/Vegetable
1 small Onion
1.2 litre Water/stock
3 small Red Chilli
4 cloves Ginger
1 tbsp Garlic
1/4 cup Lemon Juice
2 tbsp Soya Sauce
1 tsp Sugar
How to Make Tom Yum Soup
1.Pound chilli, ginger, and garlic
2.Take water or stock in a pan and add the pounded mixture and onion to the pan and bring the water to boil.
3.Add vegetable or chicken or prawn. Cover, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, until broth has reduced slightly.
4.Season it with salt to taste, sugar, and soya sauce
and finish it with lemon juice.
You can also make a vegetarian version of tom yum soup by adding mushrooms, carrots and french beans.
