Barista was one of the few places that started the coffee culture many years back. Even now it continues to attract coffee lovers who can also enjoy delicious snacks while sipping on the coffee and other refreshing beverages including iced tea, teas and shakes. Since its inception in 2000, Barista has remained a haven for coffee enthusiasts, offering not only an array of delightful brews but also a delectable selection of snacks and beverages.
Venturing into the Defence Colony outlet in Delhi felt like a journey back in time, evoking memories of cherished friendships and carefree conversations over steaming cups of coffee. Amidst the familiar surroundings, I indulged in Barista's signature drink - the Brrrista. Delicately balanced and refreshingly light, it served as a perfect companion for a leisurely evening. The Brrrista Frappe, with its classic frothy texture, added an extra layer of indulgence to the experience.
Accompanying my beverage, I opted for my ever-favourite spinach and corn sandwich. While it seemed slightly drier than what it used to be, the familiar flavours remained intact; it still was a comforting and satisfying quick meal. However, it was the Three Pepper Cheese Toastie that stole the spotlight - a fiery yet airy delight that left a lasting impression on my taste buds.
The barista's culinary offerings extend beyond sandwiches. Olive and tomato focaccia bread was a delightful and cheesy treat. The bold flavours and generous toppings made each bite a savoury delight. Equally impressive was the Chicken Tikka sandwich, showcasing the fusion of traditional Indian flavours with contemporary cafe fare.
In essence, a visit to Barista is not just about indulging in coffee; it's a nostalgic journey intertwined with culinary delights.
