Work up an appetite as you watch your pizza take form at Oshiwara's newest destination, Pizza Craft, thanks to its open kitchen.Pizza Craft is a tiny, blink-and-you-miss pizza space in Oshiwara ends even before it starts. But, its small size ensures that you can actually see how your order is being prepared, a welcome option, we say. When we entered Pizza Craft, the enthusiastic and warm staff welcomed us. We enquired with them about the seating area, to which the manager informed us that the space on the first floor would soon be developed as one; till then, they have positioned themselves as a takeaway and a delivery service. However, if you still want to have your pizza piping hot, there are three high chairs and a seating slab available for customers, something that we opted for as well.

Without wasting any time, we got to business and placed our order. To start off, we asked for a portion of Garlic Bread with Cheese (Rs 70) and a 10-inch Italiano Pizza (Rs 280). It was interesting to watch the pizza being made in front of us; it kept us occupied and before we knew it, our order had arrived. While the six pieces of garlic breads were soft and cheesy, the pizza, which were were told, was a chef's special, was delicious with its olive, artichokes, caper, sun dried tomatoes and garlic toppings. The thin crust was crispy and tasted yum.We were beginning to like our pizza soiree, and so, we decided to extend the joyride and ordered for a Roasted Chicken Pizza (Rs 260) and Alfredo Pasta (Rs 190). This round too was ready without any delay. While the pizza with roasted chicken chunks, mushroom, sun dried tomatoes and garlic was a clear winner, the pasta failed to impress. We weren't expecting a bland dish; minus marks there.Looking at their report card, this new entrant is trying to create a mark with quick delivery and scrumptious food and there are expansion plans on the anvil too. However, customers had better carry cash -- Pizza Craft doesn't accept cards as yet. Still, these teething issues aside, the trip made for a happy, crusty affair, overall. At: Shop no 20, BMC Colony, opposite Mega Mall, Oshiwara, Jogeshwari (W).
