A terribly easy recipe that helps you use a ruined cake (maybe with a broken/burnt top or if the cake turned out hard). Spongy rounds of cake dipped in chocolate sauce and wrapped in crunchy nuts.

Ingredients of Cake Pops

  • 1 ruined cake
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup chocolate sauce
  • 1 cup almonds, cashew nuts etc, crushed

  • For Chocolate Sauce:

    1/2 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 4 Tbsp drinking chocolate powder or you can use melted chocolate also
  • 1/2 cup milk or to adjust the consistency
  • A pinch of powdered sugar

How to Make Cake Pops

  1. Mash the cake. (which has been ruined, maybe a broken top or slightly hard)
  2. Add a little milk to it to make it soft and slightly paste-like.
  3. Shape this into small rounds.
  4. Prick toothpicks inside these rounds and dip them into the chocolate sauce.

  5. For Chocolate Sauce:
  6. You can prepare the chocolate sauce at home also. Just add the chocolate, 1/2 tsp cocoa powder and butter. Heat slightly and mix well.
  7. Add a little milk to adjust the consistency.
  8. Also you could add a dash of sugar if it is too bitter.
  9. If you want to make it little thick add a pinch of corn flour to milk and mix it in the chocolate sauce.
  10. Keep it over the flame till it thickens and becomes slightly fudge-like.
