Spicy Singapore Noodles

  • Nikhil and Natasha whip up some spicy noodles with prawns and chicken. Topped with thin omelette strips, this dish is perfect for all the chilli lovers.


  • For the omelette:
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Oil

  • For the noodles:
  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • 6 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 3 chillies, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp yellow bean paste
  • 150 gm chicken breast, sliced
  • 150 gm prawns, slivered (Deshelled and de veined)
  • Water
  • 100 gm cabbage, shredded
  • 50 gm celery
  • Spring onion greens, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 big bowl boiled noodles
  • 1-2 Tbsp chilli sauce
  • 1-2 tsp soy sauce


  1. For the omelette:
  2. In a bowl whisk eggs with salt and pepper.
  3. In a pan add some oil and spread the egg batter making a thin omelette. Cook from both sides till golden brown.
  4. Cut semi-thin strips from this omelette.
  5. Top it on the spicy noodles.

  6. For the noodles:
  7. In a pan add oil, garlic, chilli and yellow bean paste. Saute.
  8. Add chicken. Saute till semi cooked and then add prawns. Saute till cooked. Add a little water in intervals to help cooking the meat.
  9. Add cabbage, celery, spring onion greens, salt and pepper. Saute for 1-2 minutes.
  10. Add the noodles and toss. Add chilli sauce and soy sauce. Toss.
  11. Serve hot topped with omelette strips.
