Holi, the festival of colours, is finally here and the joy of being drenched in hues of pink, yellow, purple and blue is above all. However, with Holi comes its own share of skin problems as most Holi colours these days are prepared using chemicals that have the potential to damage the skin to a great extent. While playing Holi, our skin, mouth and eyes are quite exposed to these harmful colours. Hence, it is of utmost importance to protect them in order to avoid serious injuries. Kitchen Ingredients For The Skin: Colours in the form of pastes and sprays have toxic compounds in them which can cause itching, skin allergies and rashes. If you happen to experience any of them, then wash the affected area with normal plain water and apply coconut or almond oil over it. However, if you feel that the itchiness is creating a burning sensation, then take some cold milk and a cotton ball. Dab cotton ball into the milk and massage it over the affected area. Also, if any of your wounds get affected while playing Holi, then wash it with normal plain water and clean it. Take a pinch of turmeric, apply it all over your wound and cover it with a clean cloth.
