A generous serving of dessert is a must after a hearty meal. We just can't do without some sweet treats but there are some people who have to completely abstain from it. Diabetics are advised to quit sugary foods because of their already increased sugar level. In diabetes, the body is unable to produce enough insulin or can't respond to the insulin present in the body. Insulin is a hormone that regulates sugar. Without the functionality of insulin, sugar can't be processed and digested properly, which leads to a surge in sugar content in the bloodstream. Everyone deserves to experience the sheer pleasure of tucking into a heavenly sweet dish. So, let's make a cake without sugar that contains the same sweetness and the same character of a dessert, but is only healthier.
Here is an astounding recipe of Ginger Cake. It is made with ginger (adrak) and sweetened with honey, not sugar. Another advantage of eating this healthy cake is that it doesn't use all-purpose refined flour but whole-wheat flour (atta).
Another point of consideration is the presence of ginger. Ginger is a highly popular spice that is known to help regulate blood sugar level by stimulating the production of insulin. Ginger is recommended to be added in diabetes diet for another reason - it is a low glycaemic food. Apart from this, ginger proffers many other wellness advantages like easy digestion, protection from infection-causing bacteria, weight loss etc.
