This moist chocolate cake is the coming together of cocoa and coffee resulting in a gooey, deep chocolaty and drool-worthy cake that you can indulge in! Baked to perfection, this cake can be smothered with some chocolate sauce or can be attacked as is, simply mouth-watering!

Ingredients of Moist Chocolate Cake

  • Dry ingredients:
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Sugar, powdered
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Coffee powder
  • Wet ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup Oil
  • 1/2 cup Hot water
  • 1/2 cup Cold milk
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla essence
  • 1 Egg (whisked for 1 minute)

How to Make Moist Chocolate Cake

  • 1.Pre-heat the oven at 180 degrees C. Grease a baking tin with some vegetable oil.
  • Dry ingredients:
  • 1.In a bowl sift together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt and coffee powder.
  • 2.Keep aside.
  • Wet ingredients:
  • 1.In a bowl whisk together 1/2 cup oil and 1/2 cup hot water till well blended. Let it cool down a bit.
  • 2.Once done add the milk and vanilla essence. Mix well.
  • 3.Add the whisked egg.
  • 4.Now mix gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk them together.
  • 5.Pour it in a greased tin.
  • 6.Bake it for 35-40 minutes at 180 degrees C or till the toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • 7.Smother some chocolate ganache/ sauce if you want to or you can eat it like this.
