Here's How You Can Make Sooji Cutlets At Home:
Ingredients:
Boiled Potato - 2 (peeled)
Green chili - 1 (finely chopped)
Bread crumbs - half a cup
Oil - for frying
Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp
Semolina - half a cup
Capsicum - 1 small (finely chopped)
Grated carrot - 1/4 cup
Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
Chaat masala - 1 tsp
Method:
- To begin with, take a wide bowl and mash the boiled potatoes in it. Add all the masalas to the mashed potato except ginger-garlic paste and chilli.
- Meanwhile, heat little oil in a frying pan and add green chillies to it along with ginger-garlic paste. Saute for a while and add mashed potato mix to the pan. Mix well.
- Add rava or sooji to the pan and cook it along with the potato mixture. Once done, transfer the combined mix to a plate and allow it to cool down.
- Take small portions of the potato-rava batter and make round balls. Flatten them a little using your hands to give them a tikka-like shape.
- Heat oil in a pan over high flame. Once the oil is sufficiently hot, start adding the cutlets to the pan and deep-fry them till they attain a golden brown hue.
- Transfer the cooked sooji cutlets on a paper napkin to get rid of excess oil and pair them with chutney or dip of your choice.
