The festivities of Raksha Bandhan have everybody excited! This year Raksha Bandhan, also known as Rakhi, is being celebrated on August 11, 2022. This auspicious occasion is celebrated by tying rakhis to our siblings as a sign of their promise to protect us. In exchange, our siblings shower us with love and gifts. While we are busy thinking of what gifts to ask our sibling for on this special occasion, we tend to forget the rest of the preparations! Often, we forget to buy mithai on time, only to realize that all sweets are sold out at the halwai. Raksha Bandhan is incomplete without mithai, so what to do at such short notice? Prepare mithai at home!
Today, we have found the quick and easy recipe for malai ladoos. This mithai only requires three ingredients - milk, sugar and paneer - to give creamy and soft ladoos at home. Thanks to food blogger Parul Gupta, we have found the recipe video of how to make malai ladoos at home. Follow the video, and enjoy halwai-style ladoos in no time.
Raksha Bandhan 2022: How To Make Malai Ladoo For A Quick Mithai
To make this ladoo, pour water and milk into a pan. Boil the milk till it is reduced to half its quantity. The water shall prevent the milk from sticking while it reduces. Meanwhile, you'll need to make paneer. Boil full cream milk and add vinegar. Mix till the milk curdles. Drain the moisture from the curdled milk and you'll get paneer. Mash the paneer into a fine paste. Keep this aside. Pour sugar into the reduced milk and add the mashed paneer. Once it has reached the right consistency, remove the pan from the flame. Make round ladoos from the batter and your mithai is ready!
