As we were searching for some quick and delicious snack recipes, we stumbled upon this recipe by a food vlogger with Youtube channel "Cook with Parul." Here, she has first made dough for the puffs and layered it to create a flaky texture. Then she adds in the matar filling and completes the dish! Sounds easy to make, right? Here's How To Make Veg Matar Puffs | Veg Matar Puffs Recipe
In a bowl, add all-purpose flour and wheat flour. Then add salt, ajwain, oil, and slowly add water to form a dough. Cover it with a wet cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes. Then in a grinding jar, add green peas and potatoes and make a coarse texture. Next, heat a pan and add some oil, jeera, finely chopped onion. Roast them lightly. Now add green chillies, garlic and ginger. Throw in the green peas mixture. Add a bit of water and let it cook on low flame for three-four minutes. Next add, spices like coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala, chaat masala and salt as per taste. Combine till all the flavours mix.
Now, in a bowl, make cornflour slurry and mix ghee. Make roundels from the dough and spread the cornflour slurry on the flattened shape. Repeat the process with the entire dough and stack them together. Now roll it back again, cut and make a roti so that layers are visible. Fill in the prepared filling, close it and deep fry! Once done, serve and enjoy!
