Rishi Sunak has become the first person of Indian origin to hold the Prime Minister's position in the United Kingdom. Congratulatory messages and wishes have poured in from leaders of countries all over the world. In light of his appointment, previous interviews with the newly-appointed British Prime Minister have been going viral on the internet. Recently, an episode of a podcast called VC:20 with Harry Stebbings has been making the news. In the 30-minute-long episode, Stebbings interacted with Rishi Sunak at the time when he was the Chancellor of the Exchequer of the British government. Sunak spoke about having his first job at a restaurant, the diet he follows and what he typically eats for breakfast.
In the 30-minute episode of the podcast released in June 2021, Harry Stebbings asks Rishi Sunak about his first job waiting tables at a restaurant and what his takeaways were from it. "Having a job, whatever the job is, is really important. It wasn't the most glamorous job, it was hard work, but it was amazing to have a job," said Sunak in the podcast. He further added that the hospitality industry was close to his heart and had suffered immensely during the pandemic, and that his policies aimed to reduce their losses.

Coming to his diet, Rishi Sunak said that he practiced intermittent fasting and, thus, mostly skipped breakfast. "I wake up between 6 am and 7 am depending on what gym I'm doing. In terms of breakfast, well, I do some intermittent fasting so most days [it's] nothing. Otherwise, I'd probably have Greek yogurt and blueberries during the week," said Sunak. "And then I'd have a second breakfast mid-morning which is either a cinnamon bun or a pain au chocolat or a chocolate chip muffin. So I'd have a chocolatey, sugary pastry at some point," he added, saying that this mid-morning treat was his go-to indulgence.
That's not all - Rishi Sunak also revealed that he enjoys a full-cooked breakfast with his family on the weekends. "On the weekend, we have a full-cooked breakfast on Saturdays; and on Sundays, we alternate between pancakes and waffles," he said in the podcast with Harry Stebbings. "So, we do American-style pancakes, so we add crispy bacon, blueberries, strawberries and pancakes. That's Sunday. And we interchange pancakes and waffles every week," he concluded.
