A pressure cooker is the most common appliance used in Indian cooking yet not all of us can open and close its lid with ease. It holds true, especially for novice cooks who always struggle with it in the beginning. Learning Indian cooking tricks is an art, which takes time to master. But this Canadian seems to have learnt the trick finally after six years of practice. And while we still find it difficult to work the lid of the pressure cooker with both hands, this man can now open and close it with just one hand! Wondering how? Thankfully, he has shared it in a Twitter video for all of us. Watch and learn.
Caleb Friesen is a Canadian who has been living in Bengaluru for the past six years. If you have to live in a foreign land, you've got to learn the way of life of the place. And Friesen has aced it by not only learning this pressure cooker trick but also teaching others. "After living in India for nearly 6 years, I've finally done it: I can open a pressure cooker with one hand!" exclaimed Caleb Friesen in the caption of the video that he shared on Twitter.
Watch it here:
Friesen also revealed that his wife had filmed the video and after it was done, she said, "Okay, now can we please just eat our breakfast? No more rice cooker tricks."
While Friesen opens the lid in an instant with one hand, he has to struggle a bit to close it again. Nevertheless, the effort is commendable. Other Twitter users share the same opinion.
One user awarded him with a fake certificate of completion. Take a look:
"A skill that 99.99% of Indians can't master yet. Take a bow!" This man is definitely impressed.
