Encountering bugs on our food is a common problem we face on a daily basis. Despite our best efforts to keep them away, they always seem to find a way onto our food. Don't you agree? However, have you ever found yourself in a situation where you presumed a bug was on your food, but it turned out to be something different? The feeling of immediate relief we experience when we realise our mistake is familiar. Recently, we came across a video in which a woman thought she spotted a spider on her spoon, but it turned out to be something else altogether.

The video was shared on Instagram by @uyenninh. In the clip, we can see a woman eating rice with a spoon. Suddenly, she spots what she thinks is a spider on her spoon and becomes visibly terrified. However, after a few moments, she realises that it was just the reflection of the ceiling lamp on her spoon. The text overlay in the video reads, "Almost had a heart attack. The woman's hilarious reaction upon realising her mistake certainly had the internet in splits. Since the video was shared, it has amassed over 16.1 million views, 1.7 million likes, and thousands of comments. One person wrote, "Time to throw the whole lamp away."
Another person wrote, "Imagine you get used to the reflection. Then the one time there actually is a bug, you just assume it's the lamp."
A third person wrote, "I thought it's a big spider on the ceiling."
"I have always thought overhead lighting was evil- this proves it once and for all!" joked a fourth.
A fifth person added, "My brain would still convince me there's a spider somewhere under that rice."
"Omg. It really looks like a spider!" added another.
