Ingredients of Cheese Biryani

  • 2 Onions (sliced and fried)
  • 2 Tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Rice
  • 1 cup Grated Mozzarella Cheese
  • 2 Capsicums (chopped)
  • 1 Carrot (chopped)
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 4-5 Cloves
  • 1 inch Cinnamon Stick
  • 2-3 Green Cardamoms
  • 2 Black Cardamoms
  • 5-6 Peppercorns
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • 1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 cup Coriander Leaves
  • 1/2 cup Mint Leaves
  • 10-12 Cashews

How to Make Cheese Biryani

Boil rice till almost cooked. Strain water and keep aside.

Saute all whole spices in oil/ghee. Also sauté cashews and ginger-garlic paste.

Add tomatoes, salt, red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Cook till the mixture leaves oil. Then sauté capsicum and carrots till soft.

Take out half of the tomato mixture. Place half the cooked rice over the mixture in the pan and top it with coriander leaves and some fried onions.
5.
Layer again with the tomato mixture and fried onions and mint leaves. Top it with the rest of the rice.
6.
Cover and place the pan on a flat griddle on low flame. Let it slow-cook for at least 15 minutes.
7.
Garnish with some more grated cheese and fried onions, and serve.
