Ingredients of Dal Moth Curry

  • 1 Cup Soaked Moth Dal
  • 2 tbsp Cooking Oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • A Pinch Of Heeng
  • 2-3 Green Chillies (Slit)
  • 1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • 1 Tomato (Chopped)
  • 1 Onion (Chopped)

How to Make Dal Moth Curry

Rinse the moth dal in cold water and chop onions, tomatoes, and green chillies. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and green chillies to the hot oil and sauté for a few seconds.

Then add the onions, along with ginger and garlic, and sauté till the onions become translucent. Add the finely chopped tomatoes along with the spices and salt and stir them well.

Now is the time to add the moth dal and water. Close the lid and let it cook for 20 mins.

Once the pressure is fully released, open the lid and stir the dal. Then add some lime juice along with some fresh cilantro leaves and give a gentle stir.

Serve Moth Dal Curry with kachori, roti or rice.
